OBITUARY
Mrs. Juliet Anozie, benevolent Pillar of the NITI Secretariat, passes on
NITI has lost three great members in less than one year: founding father, Prof. Ekundayo Simpson, in May 2003, NITI legal adviser, Prof. Union Edebiri, in November 2023 and now, pillar of the NITI secretariat, Mrs. Juliet Anozie, on February 17, 2024.
Juliet was a NITI member par excellence. Right from the day she was inducted as a Full Member, she did everything within her powers to ensure the success of our dear professional body. She paid her annual dues every year, even as she volunteered to do any type of work she could do to help NITI, especially at NITI congresses and conferences and training events, where she was a great pillar of support to the secretariat.
She will be greatly missed. Let us all pray for the repose of her soul and those of all the NITI departed.

It is with deep sadness but with total submission to the will of our Almighty Creator that the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters (NITI) announces the passing on of one of our founding fathers, brother, colleague, teacher and mentor, powerful and untiring NITI Legal Adviser, Professor Union Edebiri, which event took place on Wednesday, 15th November 2023, barely six months after that of our founding father, Prof. Ekundayo Simpson.
We pray Almighty God to grant him eternal rest (Requiem eternam dona ei Domine, et lux perpetua luceat ei) and to the family all the fortitude needed to overcome the pain.
