THE 11th NITI CONGRESS & WORKSHOP
HELD SUCESSFULLY
The 11th NITI Congress and Workshop indeed held as announced in Abuja on 28th and 29th November 2013. The event was a resounding success. Members came from all over the world: Lagos, Ilorin, Zaria, Benin City, Nsukka, other parts of Nigeria, and Saudi Arabia.
APPRECIATION: We thank our Special Guest of Honour, who was unavoidably absent, but who took time out to write in, acknowledge our invitation, explain why he could not make it and wish us happy and fruitful deliberations.
We thank all NITI members who attended the congress this year and helped make it a success.
We thank the ECOWAS Court of Justice for sending in a powerful team who did justice to the sub-theme: TRANSLATION & JUSTICE. We thank the ECOWAS Parliament for sending in another powerful team to elucidate on the sub-theme: PARLIAMENTARY TRANSLATION & GOVERNANCE. We thank the University of Ilorin for sending in another powerful team, led by the able Prof. A. S. Abdussalam, who participated actively and made the discussions lively and educating, especially on the sub-theme: TRANSLATION TEACHING, RESEARCH & TRAINING; and our thanks go to the able resource persons who presented papers at this congress, and to all NITI members who attended the congress this year and helped make it a success.
