Tomorrow, Friday, 16th April 2010, a NITI Notice will appear in The Punch newspaper to the effect that the examination that was to hold today to test the ability of would-be new members to do quality translations has again been shifted.
That newspaper notice will announce that Applications can still be done online till 30th April, while the examination will now hold on 20th May 2010. At the end of the first deadline given, applications had been received in as many as six languages (in order of registration): French, Hausa, Yoruba, Spanish, Arabic and Portuguese, fron candidates in Nigeria and abroad. But we received requests from prospective candidates, mostly from Nigerians in the Diaspora, to extend the date to enable them apply for the exam. That is the reason for this second extension given, at the end of which the exam will definitely hold.
